After achieving freedom from British rule, the people of India elected him as the MLA of Gajwel. He served the Telangana government for more than 10 years. He is also the first Zilla Parishad chairman of Medak district.

During his tenure as Member of the Legislative Assembly of KCR Gajwel, Narasimha Reddy initiated a drinking water project that aims to provide manjeera water from sangareddy to Hyderabad.
