SVN Prasad is a normal person like many of us. But, what makes him special is his intention of helping others and making the people live happily. Prasad is a Chemical Engineering graduate from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He is currently staying in Dondaparthy, Visakhapatnam and working as a software engineer.

Besides leading his normal life as a job holder, he started donating blood with a genuine intention to save people’s lives. He started blood donation at the age of 19 itself at a blood donation camp while studying 2nd year of graduation. With the happiness he got by helping others, he continued participating in many blood donation camps.
“Donate blood because you never know how valuable it can be to someone”
One day Prasad’s classmate is in an emergency and needs blood immediately. During that situation, he understood the importance of blood.
He then started donating blood twice a year voluntarily at the blood bank. He donates blood once in every 90-100 days and has donated blood 57 times so far.
SVN Prasad said, “I always try to create awareness about blood donation and as part of that, I have created #BESTDONORS (BLOOD EMERGENCY SERVICE TEAM) WhatsApp group as well as Facebook page and Facebook group”.

He created the Best Donors All India group but due to influx of blood requests from different regions, I divided the group into new groups region wise and now around 10 Best Donors WhatsApp groups are formed across India. Blood donors in his best donor groups are very active in responding to blood requests and donating blood almost anytime.

SVN Prasad also created a best donors blog (https://bestdonors.in) and writes articles on blood donation to create awareness on blood donation and benefits.
SVN Prasad got many awards and appreciation for his social service activities.
- Got appreciation from NGOs for volunteering in blood drives and following blood requests in WhatsApp groups.
- Received best active volunteer from ASWA NGO Hyderabad
- Received unsung hero award from Vizag volunteers
- Felicitation by Vizag mayor and deputy mayor in blood donors day for donating blood more than 50 times.
- Received momento from Aam Aadmi party on blood donation camp conducted by them.
- Got appreciation certificates from Heros Foundation, Social Army Youth Welfare Association, Mother Blood Center, Blood and Organ Donor Society and more.
- Got an appreciation certificate from Life Share Blood Bank.
- Got a momento from Friends Blood Donor Association NGO Vizag.
- Conducted blood donation camp with JCI Vizag Achievers and Best Donors Group.
- Created small snippets about awareness on blood donation.
- Got the best social worker certificate from help for a needy foundation.
